There is no condemnation. We accept people the way they come to us.
We are a Christian organization and we believe that through Christ all things are possible. Complete change is possible through the transforming power of Christ. This is the foundation which we stand upon.
As a general rule of thumb Christian counseling and secular counseling have a few things in common. Both share a desire to help people over come their problems, and find meaning in life. Most counselors have graduate degrees and spend years learning their calling of craft.
The word "counseling" can have many meanings, including offering advice and encouragement, sharing wisdom and skills, goal setting, resolving conflict, and so forth. Counselors usually probe the past i.e. childhood unresolved issue or just this morning) in an attempt to repair the present. Sometimes exploring possible affects of physical and chemical imbalances that can cause physiological problems. A major part of counseling is resolving and restoring conflicts in some sort of relationship (whether with oneself or another).
Christian counseling is different from secular counseling in that. Christian counseling uses an whole different dimension In contrast to psychologically-integrated systems, Biblical counseling seeks to carefully discover those areas in which a Christian could be entering into disobedient to the principles of Scripture and to help him/her learn how to submit to God's will.
Although Christian counselors often use skills from the field of secular psychology and counseling, they recognize that the Bible, not secular psychology, is the final authority. "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness" (2 Peter 1:3). A Christian counselor's focus strategy is to help their clients substitute biblical truth for error as they go about their day-to-day lives. They know that the truth, when known, believed, and obeyed, transforms and sets people free. Only when people are set free, they are fulfilling their true calling. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).
We believe all chains of fear, doubt, frustrations, addiction, anger, rage, immorality, and so forth can be broken through CHRIST.
Please call us at 704-574-2743 and simply talk. You have nothing to lose but your chains.
