You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me. You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes. – Psalm 18: 39-40 (NIV)
It doesn’t matter how tough we imagine ourselves to be – when facing the worst of situations or our greatest fears we can push our faith to the back of the line – quickly. I’ve had numerous encounters with things, people, and situations that pushed me to the brink of doubt. The enemies we face are tenacious. They want us under their feet to satisfy their own emptiness. We must remain strong.
Right now, Let’s change our posture toward the things that intend to harm us. Set aside the brush we use to paint our enemies as “impossible giants” that can’t be overcome. As Christians, it’s time that we step into a position of strength over the things attempting to control us, sway us, convince us, damage us, and remove us from God’s provision.
No longer will you and I stand as a defeated warrior before we even take the first step onto the battlefield. We have inherited the power of God into our lives through Christ Jesus… so – we win! Darkness cannot exist in the light and our enemies have no control over God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
Your posture isn’t one of weakness… it’s one of strength. Represent God through your confidence, thank Him for destroying the enemies at your feet. Stand up and knock the adversary aside. God is strong where we are weak… allow Him to humble your enemies so you can walk over them today.
THE RIGHT NEXT STEP
What enemy has you convinced that you are defeated? Pray for God to work through you to conquer it.
PRAY: God, I thank you for giving me strength to walk upright. Remind me that you’ve equipped me to win and not lose. Give me the courage to step out of the darkness and win with your light today. Amen.
