What Can I Expect?
Most clients start by
attending therapy weekly, although some clients choose to attend therapy every
other week, due to time, work, or financial concerns. Some clients
prefer a more short-term, solution-focused approach to therapy; others prefer
to attend therapy over a more extended period of time. We try to support
each individual client in finding his or her own comfort level around
frequency, support, and care.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length and the fee range is $25 - $75
(dependent upon wellness provider and if travel is
needed). The Intake/Initial Session is usually scheduled
for an hour and a half and the fee range is $40 - $85. During the
Intake/Initial Session, you and your counselor/coach will have the
opportunity to get to know one another, review the paperwork, and address any
questions that you may have. You and your counselor/coach will also
discuss your issues, needs, and goals, and a tentative plan for
moving forward will be developed.
Group classes are partnered with one-to-one counseling/coaching sessions. Individuals who abuse substances find it is easier to remain sober
and committed to recovery when they realize they are not in it alone.
We hope that this section gives you some helpful information and answers some
of the questions that you may have. We will look forward to talking
with you further at your first session.
The Arno Profile System™ is a simple
temperament test that identifies a person's inborn, God-given temperament; it
is not measurement of a person's behavior like a personality test. Who God
created us to be (temperament) and who we become (through learned
behavior) can be entirely different. We need to find out who we really are, and
find ways to become the person God created us to be (the true self) instead of
the person we have learned to be (the masked self).
We use the Pure
Desire™ Curriculum and the Way of Purity™ Curriculum. This is not
a self-help program; the entire program is based on a biblical foundation.
The SAST Testing is a free test designed to help those determine if there is a sexual or pornography addiction. Follow the link to take the quiz.
Breaking Free is the second level curriculum which takes place once
the Pure Desire curriculum has been completed. Healthy Sexuality is the final course you will go through. It teaches what
is healthy in the confines of marriage. This class is also designed for those
who are not married but realize they have a struggle with addictions, which
could affect the marriage they hope to have.
